Excursions and field trips aim to provide students with opportunities
to learn beyond the classroom, foster social skills, and create memorable experiences
in a fun and relaxed environment. Museums, historical sites, natural parks,
industrial facilities, are some of the destinations planned
for enriching students' learning experiences.
At Boaz we align the trip’s purpose with curriculum topics or life skills development
and we choose destinations that provide hands-on learning or exposure to real-world applications.
Prior permission is obtained from parents
through consent forms and information on transportation, food, first aid is communicated.
Students are prepared beforehand by discussing what they will see or do. Tasks such as note-taking, photography,
or creating a post-trip presentation are assigned. Appropriate teacher-to-student ratio is maintained always.
Boaz pillow parties are informal events, where middle school students
bring their pillows and participate in a fun sleepover in the school campus.
It is a great way to build camaraderie and promote relaxation. It provides
middle schoolers with a unique and exciting opportunity to bond
with classmates, build friendships, and foster a sense of community in a supervised and safe environment.
Engaging activities like movie screenings, team games, storytelling, talent shows are planned.
The schedule is structured but flexible and includes time for dinner,
games, wind-down activities, and sleeping hours.
Parental consent is first obtained. The school provides
a checklist for students to bring essentials, such as mat, pillows, night wear, toiletries, and snacks (if allowed).
An appropriate ratio of teachers/staff to students (e.g., 1:8 or 1:10) will be maintained and
supervisors are present throughout the event, including during sleeping hours.
